Ryan Seacrest fails to mention legendary host by name as he makes his debut on ‘Wheel of Fortune

Ryan Seacrest made his debut as the new host of Wheel of Fortune, taking over from Pat Sajak after 42 seasons. While fans welcomed the new era, some noticed that Seacrest didn’t mention Sajak by name during his opening.

Seacrest expressed his excitement, saying, “I still can’t believe my luck of being here with you tonight to continue this legacy.” He acknowledged the importance of Wheel of Fortune and added, “I’ve got some very big shoes to fill. So, let’s play Wheel of Fortune.” Despite skepticism, viewers found Seacrest a natural host. Comments on X praised his confidence, with one fan noting, “Ryan Seacrest did a fabulous job on Wheel of Fortune! Excited for this new era.”

Though Seacrest didn’t mention Sajak, his debut was well-received, marking a smooth transition into this new chapter of the iconic game show.
