At 60 years old, living as a single mom and facing the world on my own, I never thought I’d be stepping back into the modeling world, let alone for a famous company. But when the invitation arrived—an offer to model for an underwear campaign and a variety of other shoots—I felt a spark ignite within me.
It wasn’t an easy decision. I’ve spent so much time focused on raising my kids, working, and navigating life alone that I hadn’t thought about myself in this way for a long time. Modeling had been a part of my life in my younger years, but stepping back into it now? It felt bold, thrilling, and maybe even a little scary. But something deep inside me knew this was my moment to reclaim a part of myself I thought was long gone.
I decided to say yes. Why not? Why should age limit my expression of confidence, beauty, or my ability to feel powerful in my own skin? I showed up to the shoot feeling a mix of nerves and excitement, unsure of what to expect. But the moment I stepped in front of the camera, something clicked. It was as if every experience I had lived—every triumph, every heartache—gave me a new kind of strength and presence.
Modeling underwear, at 60, wasn’t just about the clothes or the camera. It was about owning who I am at this stage in life. It was about showing that beauty doesn’t have an expiration date and confidence only grows stronger with time. I’ve raised my children, faced life’s challenges head-on, and now, I’m here, standing tall, embracing every part of who I’ve become.
This shoot was more than just a job; it was a celebration of me—of every woman who dares to embrace her power, no matter her age.
