Santorini was everything I imagined it would be—whitewashed buildings perched on cliffs, deep blue waters stretching out endlessly, and the most breathtaking sunsets I’d ever seen. My friends and I had been planning this girls’ trip for months, eager to escape the hustle of our everyday lives and find peace in this Greek paradise. We didn’t need romantic partners to make this trip special. All we needed was each other and the sheer beauty of Santorini.
Every morning, we’d wake up to the sound of the waves crashing below, our villa perched right on the edge of the caldera. We spent our days lounging by the pool, drinking cocktails, and talking about everything from our careers to our dreams for the future. There was something so empowering about being with a group of strong, independent women, each of us unapologetically living life on our own terms.
One evening, we took a boat tour around the island, stopping to swim in the crystal-clear waters and watch the sunset from the deck. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an orange and pink glow across the sky, I realized how much I cherished these moments. Being single didn’t mean being alone. I had the most incredible friends, and together, we were creating memories that would last a lifetime.
