I’m Jade, 45, and I’ve remained single because I refuse to settle for less than what I deserve. Too often, people feel compelled to be with someone—anyone—because society places so much value on having a partner. I’ve felt that pressure too, but I’m here to say that I’d rather be alone than with someone who doesn’t understand my essence.
For me, love should bring peace, laughter, and support. I’ve spent years growing into the woman I am, learning to value my independence and accomplishments. I’m proud of the life I’ve built, and I don’t want a relationship that detracts from that.
When I think about a great relationship, I think about partnership and mutual respect. It’s not just about having someone around; it’s about finding someone who encourages me to be my best self, and who brings out the best in me without diminishing who I am. So until I meet that person, I’ll be here, living fully, loving myself, and waiting for someone worthy of my heart.
