From the depths of the oceans to the peaks of mountains, the Earth is filled with plastic, which has penetrated even the forests and the most remote regions of the planet.
As a result, wild animals often end up chewing on plastic which endangers their health, reports Telegrafi.
Recently, footage captured by wildlife photographer Deep Kathikar precisely shows the extent of threats from waste.
The video displays a tiger removing a plastic bottle from a waterhole in Tadoba National Park in Maharashtra, India.
The video caption says “A sweet gesture from the tiger. We will try to keep our jungles clean”. These images left internet users concerned, while some called the situation “alarming”.
Indian Forest Service officer, Susanta Nanda, has shared the tiger’s video on X, urging people not to throw waste in nature.
