NFL Prospect Khyree Jackson Dies in Car Accident

NFL prospect Khyree Jackson, recently drafted by the Minnesota Vikings, died in a car accident on Saturday morning at 24. His high school teammate Hazel and friend Anthony Lytton Jr. were also killed.

Accident Details

Their Dodge Charger was hit by a speeding Infiniti around 3 a.m., causing the Charger to crash. Jackson and Hazel died at the scene; Lytton Jr. died later. No charges have been filed.

Hours before, Jackson posted a 10-slide Instagram carousel with moments from his life, captioned “Mmmhmmm.”

Career Highlights and Tributes

Jackson, who played for the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft. The Vikings expressed their condolences, stating, “The news of Khyree Jackson’s death after an overnight car accident breaks our hearts.”
