In the world of my juicy scenarios, every call from my husband is like an adrenaline rush at the most inopportune time! After all, when you’re immersed in a world of passion and intrigue, the last thing you want is to talk about what to buy at the store or what movie to watch in the evening.

As I lay there, tangled in the sheets with someone else, the sudden ring of my phone jolted me back to reality. My heart raced as I glanced at the screen—my husband’s name flashing brightly. I hesitated, the thrill of the moment quickly replaced by a wave of anxiety. I couldn’t ignore the call, not without arousing suspicion.

I quickly answered, doing my best to steady my breath. His familiar voice brought a sense of normalcy, but it also served as a stark reminder of the double life I was living. We discussed mundane things—groceries, weekend plans, dinner. All the while, my mind was racing, knowing that just a few feet away was the source of my secret excitement.

As the call ended, I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. The rush of adrenaline faded, but the thrill of the hidden continued to pulse beneath the surface. I knew I was playing a dangerous game, but in that moment, the excitement was too intoxicating to resist.
