Seeking Validation

Spread the love

It’s been tough lately. My husband, David, has been distant, and our marriage feels like it’s hanging by a thread. I can’t remember the last time he complimented me or even noticed when I made an effort. It’s like we’re just going through the motions, and it’s left me feeling invisible and unappreciated.

I started to question if I was still attractive, if I still had that spark. One evening, I decided to put myself out there. I dressed up, went out, and found myself in a lively bar where I met someone who saw me—really saw me. We talked, we laughed, and for the first time in a long while, I felt noticed and wanted.

It wasn’t about hurting David; it was about reclaiming a piece of myself that had been lost. I needed to feel like I was still worth something, to know that I could still captivate someone’s attention.
