But no matter how many times I say it, my husband keeps bringing up my exes\u2014comparing himself, asking questions I don\u2019t want to answer. It feels like I\u2019m trapped, constantly walking on eggshells, afraid that anything I say will lead to another round of jealousy. <em>Why is he so obsessed with my past?<\/em> I\u2019m committed to him, but it\u2019s starting to feel like no matter what I do, he\u2019ll always see himself in competition with men who are long gone from my life.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I wonder if his jealousy is more about his own insecurities than anything I\u2019ve done. I\u2019ve made a life with him, chosen him above all others, and yet it\u2019s like he\u2019s determined to sabotage his own happiness by dwelling on things that can\u2019t be changed. It\u2019s exhausting\u2014trying to convince someone that they\u2019re good enough when they\u2019re constantly undermining themselves. I love him, but I\u2019m also starting to feel a deep frustration because I know I can\u2019t fix this for him.
