Too often, people feel compelled to be with someone\u2014anyone\u2014because society places so much value on having a partner. I\u2019ve felt that pressure too, but I\u2019m here to say that I\u2019d rather be alone than with someone who doesn\u2019t understand my essence.<\/p>\n<p>For me, love should bring peace, laughter, and support. I\u2019ve spent years growing into the woman I am, learning to value my independence and accomplishments. I\u2019m proud of the life I\u2019ve built, and I don\u2019t want a relationship that detracts from that.<\/p>\n<p>When I think about a great relationship, I think about partnership and mutual respect. It\u2019s not just about having someone around; it\u2019s about finding someone who encourages me to be my best self, and who brings out the best in me without diminishing who I am.
