I\u2019m a jazz singer, and he\u2019s a pianist, and together we\u2019ve created melodies that resonate deeply. Our marriage has always danced to its own beat, with Oliver encouraging me to embrace all parts of myself, never wanting me to feel stifled or limited.<\/p>\n<p>One night after a performance, a fan approached me with admiration in his eyes, and I felt that little thrill that only comes when someone sees you through fresh eyes. Oliver had been watching and noticed the spark in my smile. Later, he suggested that maybe we could keep our relationship open\u2014allowing each of us to experience inspiration, connection, or even a bit of romance outside our marriage, without guilt.<\/p>\n<p>I was surprised by his understanding, knowing it came from a place of love. I agreed, and from that point on, we promised to be honest, to never hide anything. Sometimes, I would meet someone after a show, exchanging stories or sharing a dance. Oliver, too, had his moments with musicians or fans who admired his work. But no matter where our nights took us, we always came back home, sharing those stories and feeling closer than before.
