They had been close back in their university days, and he hadn\u2019t seen Dan in years. I figured it would be a nice chance for them to catch up and reminisce. But almost immediately after Dan arrived, I started to feel\u2026 uneasy.<\/p>\n<p>From the moment he walked in, there was an odd energy. He lingered a little too long with his gaze, his compliments felt just a bit too personal, and he seemed to invade my space at every turn. Little things started to add up: Dan would \u201caccidentally\u201d brush by me when there was plenty of room, he\u2019d stay up late and try to engage me in conversations that veered toward topics that felt uncomfortably personal. When my husband wasn\u2019t around, Dan\u2019s demeanor would shift even more\u2014he seemed to watch me with a kind of unsettling intensity. It left me constantly feeling on edge in my own home.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve tried to drop subtle hints to my husband, hoping he might sense my discomfort, but he seems oblivious, too caught up in reconnecting with his friend. I don\u2019t want to come across as paranoid or overreacting, but I also can\u2019t ignore the discomfort I feel. I\u2019ve thought about bringing it up directly, but I\u2019m worried about hurting my husband\u2019s feelings or causing friction with his friend.<\/p>\n<p>As each day passes, I feel more trapped in my own house, unsure of how to address this without creating conflict. I\u2019m torn between wanting to protect my peace of mind and not wanting to disrupt my husband\u2019s happiness.
