My marriage had been on life support for years, but I was too afraid to pull the plug. I had stayed in a relationship where I felt ignored and unimportant, sacrificing my own happiness for the sake of keeping the peace. But deep down, I knew that I couldn\u2019t keep living like that. I deserved more than what I was getting.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to get divorced was one of the hardest things I\u2019ve ever done. I questioned whether I was making a mistake or if I could ever find happiness again. But as the months went on, I began to realize that leaving my husband was the best thing I could have done for myself. I rediscovered old hobbies and passions that had long been pushed aside. I started volunteering, spent time with my children, and took up yoga to calm my mind.<\/p>\n<p>With each passing day, I felt more like myself again. I was no longer defined by my marriage or anyone\u2019s expectations. I was free to explore my own desires, to chase after my dreams, and to focus on my own well-being. Divorce didn\u2019t break me\u2014it gave me the opportunity to rebuild and reclaim my happiness. And now, at 48, I am more content and fulfilled than I ever was in my marriage.
