Two of my husband&#8217;s friends, well, mine too, came over to visit. We decided to spend the afternoon by the pool, soaking in the warm sun and enjoying each other&#8217;s company. I was sitting on a lounge chair, my toes dipping into the cool water, while my husband and Kevin were deep in conversation. Their voices blended into the background\u2014a mix of laughter and serious tones as they discussed something I couldn\u2019t quite catch.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Nick had taken a different interest entirely. He had his phone out and was snapping pictures of me. At first, I wasn\u2019t sure if I should feel flattered or awkward, but then I caught myself smiling. He kept adjusting angles, stepping back, and asking me to tilt my head just so. &#8220;You\u2019ve got to see this one, it\u2019s all you,&#8221; he said, showing me a picture where the sunlight danced on the water and highlighted my features in a way I didn\u2019t often notice.<\/p>\n<p>I couldn\u2019t help but wonder if Nick might have a hidden talent for photography. \u201cIs this mine?\u201d I asked, pointing at the photo. \u201cLooks too good to be me.\u201d He laughed, assuring me it was all me and not just his skills with the camera.<\/p>\n<p>As I watched him snap another shot, I realized how relaxed I felt. This moment was mine to enjoy, surrounded by people I cared about, with no worries or distractions.
