As I wandered into the produce section, I noticed a man meticulously inspecting the avocados. He seemed so serious, so focused, that I couldn\u2019t resist the opportunity to break the ice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExcuse me,\u201d I said with a smile, holding up an avocado, \u201cI have no idea how to tell if these are good. Can you help me pick the best one?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The stranger\u2019s reaction was instant. He looked a little surprised at first, then his face broke into a delighted grin. \u201cOh, sure,\u201d he said, stepping closer. \u201cYou\u2019re looking for one that\u2019s firm but with just a little give.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With great care, he began examining the avocados, gently pressing them and turning them over like a seasoned produce connoisseur.
