His reaction had been so sweet, and the moment felt like a tiny burst of joy in the middle of an ordinary day. I thanked him, tucked the avocado into my basket, and headed to the checkout.<\/p>\n<p>When I got home, I couldn\u2019t wait to tell my husband about my little escapade.
