I became someone\u2019s wife, someone\u2019s mother, someone reliable and constant. But what about me? The woman with dreams, desires, and a spark that used to light up every room she walked into?<\/p>\n<p>When I met him, I didn\u2019t plan for anything to happen. He wasn\u2019t someone better than my husband; he was just different. He noticed things about me I hadn\u2019t even paid attention to in years\u2014how I laugh, the way I twist my hair when I\u2019m deep in thought, or the color of my nail polish. Those small acknowledgments felt like a lifeline to a version of myself I\u2019d buried long ago.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not that my marriage is bad. My husband is a good man, but the rhythm of our lives has settled into something predictable. There\u2019s no adventure, no thrill, no surprise. With him, though, I feel alive again. It\u2019s not about love or replacing what I already have; it\u2019s about rediscovering what I lost.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe some would call it selfish or wrong, but in those fleeting moments, I\u2019m not just someone\u2019s wife. I\u2019m me.
