The mommy knew that her baby boys Daniel and David Omirin were well on their way \u2013 but once she saw their faces, she and her husband were stunned.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-unique\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unique<\/h3>\n<p>The unique twins came into the world on February 26th, 2019, and were born just a few minutes apart. But the thing was that Daniel and David absolutely nothing like each other \u2013 except for their big brown eyes.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel was born with dark skin and curly black hair \u2013\u00a0almost a copy of his older sister Demilade. She can still remember the nurse\u2019s words when Daniel came out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dDaniel came first, and then the nurse said the second baby has golden hair. I thought, how can this be possible? I looked down and saw David, he was completely white,\u201d Stacy told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7768827\/Mother-no-problem-telling-twin-boys-apart-one-black-white.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, she wasn\u2019t totally sure how her husband would react. Luckily, he responded as most dads would.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir dad was really overwhelmed and immediately named My Twin 2 (David) \u2018Golden,\u2019 so he fondly calls him Mr. Golden. He was all overjoyed seeing his boys. But David was born with a condition called oculocutaneous albinism. It\u2019s a rare genetic disorder that causes a lack of pigmentation in the skin, eyes and\/or hair \u2013 giving albino people a unique look.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-black-and-white-twins\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Black and white twins<\/h2>\n<p>The mom of three was initially concerned about David and how people would react to him \u2013 as well as being concerned about his health. \u00a0The condition is associated with medical conditions like sensitivity to sunlight and eye problems. Fortunately, David hasn\u2019t experienced any serious health issues.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.premiumtimesng.com\/regional\/south-south-regional\/487068-stop-discrimination-against-albinos-beauty-queen.html?tztc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">some sources<\/a>, more than two million people are living with Albinism in Nigeria. The World Health Organization estimates that one in 5,000 to one in 15,000 people in Sub-Saharan Africa is born with Albinism.<\/p>\n<p>In Europe and North America,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/en\/news\/feature\/2015\/08\/05\/under-the-same-sun-the-struggle-for-social-inclusion-of-people-with-albinism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">one in 20,000<\/a>\u00a0people have some form of albinism. Living with Albinism in Nigeria is not so easy. Daniel loves food and is more outgoing. David likes to take a step back and observe his surroundings. But both boys are lovely and kind children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople say \u201dExcuse me madam, which one of the kids is yours?\u2019 I just say both of them are mine and people look at me as if I am joking. But I was surprised too when they were born, even as their mum. When the doctor told me my kids are not identical I didn\u2019t know what to expect. But then I saw they had different color hair and skin and I couldn\u2019t believe it, so I\u2019m not surprised other people are shocked, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What a lovely story!
