For so long, I feared the end of my marriage would mean the end of me. I had built my life around the idea that staying together was the only measure of success, that leaving would mean failure. I worried about what people would say, how I would explain it, and whether I would ever feel whole again.<\/p>\n<p>But as the days passed, I realized something powerful: I wasn\u2019t starting over because I had failed\u2014I was beginning again with the wisdom to choose better for myself. I wasn\u2019t the same woman who had walked down the aisle years ago, full of hope but blind to the ways I was shrinking myself to fit into a love that no longer fit me. I had learned. I had grown. And now, I was stepping forward with a clearer vision of what I wanted, what I needed, and most importantly, what I would never settle for again.<\/p>\n<p>Freedom doesn\u2019t always come easily. It comes in quiet moments of strength, in the tears I let fall but no longer drown in, in the mornings where I wake up and realize that my happiness is mine to create. Divorce didn\u2019t ruin my life\u2014it gave me back the pen to write the story I actually want to live.
