I tell him that the past is the past, that I chose him, that none of it should matter. But it does\u2014to him. He tortures himself with these thoughts, imagining things that never happened, making himself the victim of a past that has nothing to do with our present.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1257\">And I can\u2019t help but wonder\u2014does this mean he\u2019s cucking himself in his own mind? He\u2019s not being cheated on, yet he\u2019s fixated on the idea that he was never my first, as if that somehow makes him less of a man.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1377\" data-is-last-node=\"\">I love him, but I\u2019m exhausted.
