More excitement, fewer secrets. It could be good for us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"997\">I felt a chill run through me. Was this the man I married? Had I missed something all these years?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1101\">A whirlwind of thoughts filled my mind. Was this empowerment or exploitation? Adventure or betrayal?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1191\">As I sat there, still stunned, he reached for my hand. &#8220;Just think about it,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1369\" data-is-last-node=\"\">I nodded, but deep down, I already knew\u2014this wasn\u2019t just a proposal for money. This was a test of who we really were as a couple.
