But the look on his face told me otherwise.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"617\" data-end=\"687\">&#8220;You\u2019re actually serious?&#8221; I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"810\">&#8220;Of course,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And don\u2019t worry, I wouldn\u2019t be jealous. I trust you. In fact, I think it could bring us closer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"993\">Closer? How could sleeping with other men\u2014on camera, no less\u2014make us stronger? I searched his face for any sign of insecurity, any hidden resentment, but all I saw was excitement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1164\">A knot formed in my stomach. Was this some secret fantasy he was finally voicing? Or had our marriage become so transactional that he saw me as a potential investment?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1256\">He reached for my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. &#8220;Just think about it,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1258\" data-end=\"1401\" data-is-last-node=\"\">I forced a smile, but deep down, I knew.
