Instead, the emblem had been inverted in a \u201ccelebration of women everywhere,\u201d according to a spokesman.McDonald\u2019s decided to flip the sign at their Lynwood, CA location but kept the logos the same on social media<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, personnel wore the \u201cW\u201d-like emblem on their shirts and hats, while restaurants served special packaging with the logo in 100 locations across the country.\u201cFor the first time in our brand\u2019s history, we flipped our iconic arches for International Women\u2019s Day to honor the extraordinary accomplishments of women everywhere, especially in our restaurants.\u201d Wendy Lewis, McDonald\u2019s Chief Diversity Officer, stated.<\/p>\n<p><main role=\"main\"><\/p>\n<section class=\"uk-container uk-padding-remove-horizontal uk-margin-medium-top uk-margin-bottom\" role=\"region\">\n<div class=\"uk-grid\">\n<article id=\"post-14456\" class=\"uk-width-2-3@s uk-article post-type-post uk-first-column\">Lauren Altman, the company\u2019s representative, stated that the new design was created to honor women everywhere. \u201cWe have a long history of empowering women in the workplace, allowing them to grow and succeed.\u201d\u201cIn the United States, we take pride in our diversity, and we are proud to share that today, six out of ten restaurant managers are women,\u201d she continued.
