Fox has issued an emotional message to fans amid his ongoing Parkinson\u2019s disease battle.<\/p><div class=\"311fe198f191a864c1efcdfa9efedfdf\" data-index=\"3\" style=\"float: none; margin:0px 0 0px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1782571\">\r\n<\/div>\r\n<script>(function(w,q){w[q]=w[q]||[];w[q].push([\"_mgc.load\"])})(window,\"_mgq\");\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The Back to the Future actor, who recently disclosed some heartbreaking family news, made the remarks while speaking with US Weekly about his upcoming AppleTV+ documentary STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie.<\/p>\n<p>The feature-length film chronicles the now 61-year-life old\u2019s career with Parkinson\u2019s since his diagnosis at 29 in 1991.<\/p>\n<p>Michael outlined the two primary reasons that pushed him to work on the documentary in an interview released on Friday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-21\"><\/div>\n<p>To begin, the Hollywood actor stated that his goal was to \u201craise awareness to this condition,\u201d which he defined as \u201cextremely important to me for years, and I wanted to continue that effort through cinema.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But then the Family Ties star added, \u201cThe second is for my fans. They, along with my family, are why I\u2019ve been able to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy fans gave me life, and I wanted to be open about mine,\u201d he said, visibly moved.<\/p>\n<p>On his publicity tour for the documentary, the Canadian-born A-lister revealed much more about his and his family\u2019s Parkinson\u2019s disease experience.<\/p>\n<p>During a Q&amp;A following a screening of his documentary at SXSW in Texas earlier this month, Michael, who was joined at the event by his wife of almost 35 years, Tracy Pollan, admitted that while \u201cParkinson\u2019s sucks,\u201d he \u201cdoesn\u2019t have time to feel sorry for himself\u201d as he navigates life with the neurological condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParkinson\u2019s stinks, but I have a great life, so thank you,\u201d he added. \u201cPity is a kind of maltreatment.
