A monetary tip felt too impersonal for the level of kindness and professionalism he had shown. Instead, I wanted my gesture to reflect a personal touch, something that would be meaningful to him as an artist.<\/p>\n<p>I remembered a small, local art gallery that was currently hosting an exhibition on portrait photography. The show included works from some renowned photographers and some promising newcomers in the field. It seemed like the perfect place where he could enjoy the art and maybe even find some inspiration for his future projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really want to thank you for today,\u201d I began, as he zipped up his camera bag. \u201cYou\u2019ve made this experience wonderful for me, and your words were not just professional, but truly uplifting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He smiled, seeming almost shy about the praise. \u201cIt\u2019s easy to take great pictures when you have a subject as photogenic as you,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I\u2019d like to offer you something in return,\u201d I said, pulling out two tickets to the art gallery exhibition from my purse. \u201cI thought you might enjoy this. It\u2019s a photography exhibit at the Carter Gallery downtown. I thought it might be up your alley.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His eyes lit up with genuine interest. \u201cThat sounds fantastic! I\u2019ve been wanting to go but haven\u2019t gotten around to buying tickets. Thank you, this means a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We exchanged a few more pleasantries, and as we said our goodbyes, I felt a warm sense of satisfaction knowing I had chosen the right thank you gift.
