She lived with her parents and younger brother, Dylan, in Bermuda until 2009, before the family settled down in rural New York State in 2016. Because the family has always been away from the hustle-and-bustle of Hollywood, Carys even admitted once that she didn\u2019t know her father was an actor.<\/p>\n<p>Carys told Town &amp; Country magazine in an interview:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought my dad was a pancake maker. I didn\u2019t know he was an actor. Michael Kirk Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones met in 1996 at the Deauville Film Festival. According to E! Online, Catherine knew that Michael wanted to meet her, but she was wary of this because she didn\u2019t know what that would exactly mean.<\/p>\n<p>By New Year\u2019s Eve of 1999, Michael and Catherine were engaged, and they got married later that year in New York. In 2017, she attended Fashion Week for the first time. The following year, Carys went to New York a second time and enjoyed the fashion shows and parties all over again, including those of Michael Kors and even Dolce &amp; Gabbana. Vanity Fair Spain seems to agree given that they invited both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Carys to appear on its cover for the September 2019 issue. They were dressed alike the day of their photoshoot, and they looked like two peas in a pod.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time the pair have shown off their power as a modeling duo. Carys and Catherine have done this before with other magazines. Carys found herself on her first cover back in 2018 when she and her mom posed for Town &amp; Country magazine. I\u2019m always looking through her closet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carys even has her own favorite item from her mom Catherine\u2019s closet:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has this one thing, and it\u2019s absolutely crazy. It\u2019s this pink kimonoey coat, but it has this fur and these fringes. Catherine told Town &amp; Country:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Carys ] has her own individual style. She\u2019s modern but age-appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Catherine went on to praise her daughter\u2019s evolving fashion sense:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never had to turn to Carys and say, \u2018I think that\u2019s a little inappropriate.\u2019 Once she said, \u2018Mom, I really like this romper.\u2019 I went, \u2018Mmm, but don\u2019t you think it\u2019s cut a little too long? It will certainly be interesting to see how her fashion sense and career develops, but it\u2019s definitely looking hopeful for Carys.<\/p>\n<p>Who knows, maybe she\u2019ll continue to steer into the fashion industry and pave her own path apart from acting.
