The bad news is that it\u2019s its final season. Food Network canceled us last summer, I have no idea why. And I didn\u2019t say anything last summer because honestly, I was hoping they would change their mind. But they have not. So this is it, this is the final season.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hundreds of fans took to the comments section to voice their disappointment that this will be the last season of her beloved cooking show, including fellow food aficionado, Rae Drummond, better known as The Pioneer Woman. \u201cLove you so much, Valerie!! I will be watching every episode and enjoying every second\u2014and will of course watch you wherever your career and life take you,\u201d Drummond wrote. \u201cThank you for sharing so much of yourself for so many years. I know I don\u2019t have to tell you that I\u2019m a Valerie B. fan for life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This video comes after Bertinelli opened up more about the emotional and mental abuse she suffered during a past relationship and about how a \u201chidden bruise\u201d was reopened after she put on a pair of pants!<\/p>\n<div id=\"faith-290887670\" class=\"faith-content_2\"><\/div>\n<p>In the Instagram post shared on Super Bowl Sunday, the celebrity chef admitted she was \u201cgiggling because I had a small hidden bruise that was activated today.\u201d She went on to explain, \u201cYou can probably hear them because my pants are rubbing together, and it makes this particular sound. I stopped wearing them because I was\u2026mercilessly mocked, you know, \u2018I\u2019m too lazy to do anything about it. They wouldn\u2019t rub together if you\u2026\u2019\u201d she trailed off.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-6\">Bertinelli defined \u201chidden bruises\u201d as \u201csomething that emotional, verbal, mental abuse do to you. People can\u2019t see [them], but we got to deal with [them] every day when they\u2019re activated. I\u2019m so grateful the work that I\u2019m doing on healing, is working.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Bertinelli<\/strong>\u00a0took to Instagram to\u00a0detail\u00a0some of the trauma she experienced while married to Tom Vitale. It started on Monday when the former\u00a0<em>One Day at a Time\u00a0<\/em>actress posted a video of her lip-syncing a trending sound that says, \u201cOh my god, oh my god, why would you do that?\u201d followed by, \u201cI don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the video, she wrote, \u201cWhy did you let them stay after finding the texts?\u201d \u2013 which initially left a lot of her followers confused. She was apparently talking about abusive and rude text messages she received from her ex-husband, Tom Vitale, while the two were still married. The then-happy couple got married on January 1, 2011, but Bertinelli filed for divorce in November 2021, and the divorce was finalized a year later. And now she\u2019s moving on.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to her Instagram Story, Valerie Bertinelli explained how her therapy and sobriety have caused her to relive past trauma \u2013 which is bringing up a whole world of emotions. \u201cI\u2019m happy because I physically feel better. I\u2019m getting better sleep, but I\u2019ve noticed that \u2013 oh boy \u2013 lots of feelings are coming up,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She went on to explain how she used to use food and alcohol to suppress those emotions, but those days are over \u2013 as are her days of letting others, such as her ex-husband, walk all over her. \u201cI have been screamed at so many times and told how fat and lazy I am,\u201d she said, speaking of her marriage to Vitale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI realize\u2026that was someone just projecting on me whatever they needed to project on me, but my part in all of it was believing it, and I don\u2019t believe it anymore. But it still doesn\u2019t stop the feelings from coming up and the hurt,\u201d she continued, adding she\u2019s \u2018feeling the feelings and letting them go. Giving them a voice.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>She ended her Instagram vent session with a\u00a0message\u00a0to her followers \u2013 don\u2019t let others rob you of your joy and happiness with the stupid things they say about you. Don\u2019t listen to it, don\u2019t give it your energy, and don\u2019t believe it. \u201cIt\u2019s not true. Someone\u2019s trying to dim your light. F\u2014 \u2019em. Shine bright,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Valerie Bertinelli Celebrates Day 31 of Alcohol Cleanse<\/h2>\n<p>On January 31st, Valerie Bertinelli took to Instagram to celebrate Day 31 of \u2018Dry January\u2019 \u2013 an alcohol cleanse throughout the month of January. She appeared to be on a walk somewhere and even said she might keep the cleanse going a little while longer \u2013 adding she has a dinner date coming up on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHappy last day of \u2018Dry January.\u2019 It is January 31st. You know what, though, I think I\u2019m not going to drink tomorrow, either. I guess I might have a cocktail on Saturday because I have a dinner date. But other than that, I think I might keep it going a little longer. How about you?\u201d she said in the video, with a big \u2018ol smile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Bertinelli also took to her TikTok \u2013 yes, she\u2019s active on that, too! \u2013 to talk about all the healing she\u2019s doing lately. In one\u00a0video, she had just finished a \u2018Rolfing\u2019 appointment \u2013 which is a \u201cform of bodywork that reorganizes the connective tissues, called fascia, that permeate the entire body. She seemed exhausted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a release that happens that\u2019s really helpful, I believe, and that a lot of emotional pain is stored in the body. And I\u2019m doing my best to heal from it in every way \u2013 my therapy, my journaling, my meditation, Rolfing.
