During those times of grief and pain, we do everything to ease the feelings of despair.<\/p>\n<p>Different cultures have different traditions of honoring the deceased, and no matter how odd we find some of them, that\u2019s a way for people to cope with the loss and we need to respect them.<\/p>\n<p>However, that wasn\u2019t the case with the family of a man named Mark Rosenthal who passed away 13 years ago, leaving his wife and two children behind.<\/p>\n<p>For Mark\u2019s family, losing him was an irreparable tragedy, but feeling a closer connection to him has helped alleviate some of the pain of his absence. Despite this, they encountered online abuse for how they commemorated a special day of the calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Becoming a single mom of two, Mark\u2019s wife Robin Rosenthal raised her children Sam and Emma by herself in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and made sure she has kept his memory alive, and one way was to spend some time at his grave and share videos online.<\/p>\n<p>In a specific video taken in June 2022, they shared a throwback of a Father\u2019s Day lunch spent camping by the grass.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-23556\" src=\"https:\/\/newstopic91.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_1063-232x300.jpeg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 232px) 100vw, 232px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newstopic91.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_1063-232x300.jpeg 232w, https:\/\/newstopic91.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_1063-792x1024.jpeg 792w, https:\/\/newstopic91.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_1063-768x992.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/newstopic91.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_1063.jpeg 1170w\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The short clip, which was intended to be humorous, triggered criticism from the online community.<\/p>\n<p>It shows the family at the graveyard having sandwiches and Sam is heard saying, \u201cFather\u2019s Day lunch with Dad!\u201d after which he asks his mom where his dad was.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDown there, in the ground,\u201d his mom replies.<\/p>\n<p>As they continue having their lunch, Robin is seen tossing fries on her late husband\u2019s grave, saying, \u201cHere Mark, have a fry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, the family wanted to add a humorous touch to the video, but they faced the backlash of some of the viewers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreepy that mom,\u201d one person commented.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m speechless, it\u2019s so disrespectful,\u201d another claimed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLack of respect,\u201d said a third.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the family posted yet another video of their visit to Mark\u2019s grave that has been seen over 600,000 times on TikTok.<\/p>\n<p>As the previous year, this video was again met with criticism and mixed emotions.
