The cool tile feels good against my bare feet as I reach for the eggs and start cracking them into the pan. The scent of coffee brewing fills the air, mixing with the memories of ocean breezes and warm sand still clinging to my skin.<\/p>\n<p>As I stand at the stove, I catch a glimpse of myself in the reflection of the microwave door. My body, still bronzed from days on the beach, is a reminder that 47 is just a number. I\u2019ve worked hard to keep myself in shape, and I feel as confident as ever\u2014maybe even more so after a week of letting loose and enjoying life.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a sense of freedom in this moment, knowing that my daughters are grown and living their own lives, giving me the space to rediscover my own. The quiet of the house isn\u2019t loneliness; it\u2019s peace. It\u2019s the sound of independence, of a woman who\u2019s learned to cherish her own company and live life on her terms.<\/p>\n<p>As the eggs sizzle and pop in the pan, I think back to the Cuban nights, the music, the laughter, the way I felt like I could be anyone and anything in those moments. But here, in my kitchen, I\u2019m exactly who I want to be\u2014a woman who knows what she wants, who loves her life, and who isn\u2019t afraid to enjoy the simple pleasure of making breakfast in her underwear.<\/p>\n<p>With a final flip of the spatula, I slide the eggs onto a plate, pour myself a cup of coffee, and take a seat at the kitchen table.
