It felt like a fresh start\u2014a way to focus on my career and provide for my daughter. Everything seemed promising as I prepared to make a difference in the lives of young students.<\/p>\n<p>However, my excitement was soon overshadowed by an uncomfortable encounter with the dean. It happened during one of my first days at the school. At first, he seemed friendly, offering to help me settle in and navigate the ropes of the job. But the moment he learned that I was a single mom, something in his demeanor shifted. His compliments became personal, his tone too familiar, and his behavior crossed a line I wasn\u2019t prepared for.<\/p>\n<p>I brushed it off at first, telling myself I was overreacting. But as the days passed, his advances became harder to ignore. The situation, once hopeful, now felt complicated. I was trying to focus on my work, on being the best teacher and mother I could be, but this unwanted attention from someone in a position of authority made everything more challenging.<\/p>\n<p>In this new environment, I had hoped for respect and professionalism. Instead, I was faced with the uncomfortable reality that some people take advantage of personal situations.
