The breeze was perfect, and the scent of saltwater filled the air. It wasn\u2019t long before a pair of tanned, fit men caught sight of us and smiled. Maya, always the bold one, flashed them a confident smile and waved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfternoon, ladies,\u201d one of the men called out as we passed by. \u201cEnjoying the view?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, definitely,\u201d Maya replied, her voice dripping with playful flirtation. Linda and I exchanged amused glances\u2014this was so her. \u201cHow about you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The man winked. \u201cIt\u2019s looking even better now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Linda giggled under her breath, clearly enjoying the banter. \u201cIs it just me, or are men more charming when you\u2019re not looking for anything serious?\u201d she whispered to me.<\/p>\n<p>I shrugged, grinning. \u201cIt\u2019s because we\u2019re not taking them too seriously anymore. That\u2019s the beauty of being single at our age\u2014we know how to enjoy the moment without getting attached.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We continued walking, letting the playful exchange fade as we made our way toward the pier. The sun was setting now, casting a rosy glow over everything. It was one of those perfect beach evenings where the air felt just right, and we were free to enjoy ourselves with no expectations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember when we used to stress over every little thing in our 20s?\u201d Linda mused as we sat on a bench by the water, watching the waves roll in.<\/p>\n<p>Maya laughed. \u201cOh, I remember. We wasted so much time trying to figure men out. Now we just enjoy the ride. If someone\u2019s worth it, we\u2019ll know.
