At 62, I’ve learned the importance of taking care of myself, inside and out. Being a single mom and working from home has its challenges, but it also gives me the freedom to focus on what truly matters: my health and well-being. I have plenty of time to work out, and I’ve made it a priority to maintain a strong and healthy body.
Every morning, I start my day with a brisk walk or a yoga session. I love feeling the stretch in my muscles and the rush of energy that comes from moving my body. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling good and staying strong for my kids and myself. I’m mindful of what I eat and drink, opting for nutritious meals that fuel my body and keep me energized throughout the day.
Sleep is another important part of my routine. I make sure to get enough rest every night, knowing that good sleep is essential for both my physical and mental health. I’ve created a peaceful bedtime routine that helps me unwind and prepares me for a restful night, ensuring I wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.
When it comes to the people I date or even choose to stay with, I am just as selective. I’ve learned the hard way that not everyone deserves a place in my life. I look for genuine connections, valuing kindness, respect, and a shared appreciation for a healthy lifestyle. I want to be around people who lift me up and support my journey to live a fulfilling, healthy life.
Being 62 and a single mom might not be easy, but I embrace it with confidence and joy. I’ve worked hard to build a life that makes me happy, and I’m proud of the woman I’ve become. I take care of myself in every way possible because I deserve it, and I want to be the best version of myself for my family and anyone who shares my life. Age is just a number, and I believe in living life to the fullest, no matter what stage I’m in.
