Little Johnny’s Chores

Little Johnny comes down for breakfast, and his mother asks if he has done his chores. He replies, “Not yet.” She tells him he can’t have breakfast until his chores are done. Frustrated, Johnny goes outside to feed the animals.
First, he kicks a chicken, then he kicks a cow, and finally, he kicks a pig. After finishing his chores, he returns for breakfast but only receives a bowl of dry cereal. Confused, Johnny asks, “How come I don’t get any eggs and bacon? Why don’t I have any milk in my cereal?”

His mother replies, “I saw you kick a chicken, so you don’t get any eggs for a week. I saw you kick the pig, so you don’t get any bacon for a week either. I also saw you kick the cow, so for a week you aren’t getting any milk.”
Just then, his father comes down for breakfast and kicks the cat across the kitchen. Johnny looks at his mother with a smile and asks, “Are you going to tell him, or should I?”
