I had been looking forward to this vacation for weeks, but as soon as we arrived, I realized my husband would be too busy with his work. He’s always on business calls or attending meetings, leaving me alone most of the time. It’s not like I hadn’t expected it; being married to a businessman, I’ve learned to fend for myself during trips like this.
So, I decided to make the best of it. In the mornings, I go for long walks on the beach, the waves crashing against the shore as I enjoy the peaceful solitude. The sun warms my skin, and I feel free, though sometimes the emptiness creeps in, a reminder that I’m doing this all alone.
At night, I dress up and head to the local clubs. The music fills the air, the energy of the crowd pulls me in, and for a moment, I forget about being left alone. I dance, I laugh, and I let go. It’s my way of claiming some happiness on this trip.
While my husband’s busy world spins around him, I’ve found my own rhythm. It may not be the vacation I imagined, but it’s mine.
