Living My Truth: Emma’s Stand, Age 43

Spread the love

My name is Emma, I’m 43, and I’m single because I believe in holding out for a relationship that truly adds value to my life. I’ve watched too many people I know settle for someone just because they didn’t want to be alone. That’s not for me.

In my twenties, I thought the right relationship would “fix” me or somehow bring all the pieces together. Now, I know that I’m complete on my own. I don’t need someone to fill a void because there isn’t one. What I want is a partner who understands that love is about uplifting each other, not fixing each other.

I’m not waiting for perfection, but I am waiting for someone who adds to my life, who respects my individuality, and who values my dreams. Until then, I’m happy living my truth, growing into the person I’m meant to be. If the right person comes along, great. If not, I still have my happiness, my peace, and a life that I’m proud of.
