I am over the moon that my best friend will soon be working alongside me. We’ve been through so much together, sharing laughs, secrets, and dreams, and now we’ll get to share the workplace, too. When I suggested to my boss that she would be an amazing addition to the team, I was a bit nervous—after all, not every manager is open to hiring a friend of a current employee. But he surprised me with his generosity. Not only did he agree to hire her, but he also made her feel welcome right away, even inviting us both to join him on his upcoming business trip to Dubai!
The excitement of traveling together, especially to a place as vibrant and exotic as Dubai, has us both buzzing with anticipation. We’ve already started planning our days and imagining all the amazing experiences waiting for us—from visiting the towering Burj Khalifa to exploring the traditional souks and, of course, squeezing in some beach time. But beyond the sights and the fun, there’s also the thrill of growing professionally together, supporting each other as we navigate new challenges, and having someone I trust completely by my side in this new chapter.
As the trip draws closer, I’m grateful for this opportunity and the boss who made it possible. It’s rare to have someone in charge who values personal connections and understands how much it means to work with people who bring out the best in you. My friend and I are ready to make the most of this journey, diving into both work and friendship in a way that feels almost too good to be true.
