I’m always amazed by how artistic my personal trainer’s photos are. It’s not just about snapping a shot—it’s the way he captures the essence of the moment. Whether I’m pushing through a tough set of squats or taking a breather in between, he knows exactly how to frame it, find the perfect lighting, and pull out the natural beauty in the action. Every photo feels so intentional, almost like he’s telling a story with each click of the camera. It’s honestly something I never expected from a fitness trainer, but now I look forward to seeing the photos almost as much as I do the workouts!
It’s funny because, while my husband is wonderful in so many ways, photography has never been one of his strong suits. Whenever he takes pictures, I can’t help but chuckle. His photos tend to have poor lighting or awkward angles, and more than once, I’ve found myself cropped out of the shot entirely. I know he’s trying, and I love him for it, but there’s definitely a gap between his skills and my trainer’s!
I joke with him that he could really use a few lessons from my trainer, but he just laughs it off. In truth, I think he’s happy to leave the photography to others, especially if it means I get to enjoy a perfect shot now and then. Still, I can’t help but feel a little envious of the way my trainer can turn a simple gym moment into a beautiful work of art. Maybe one day, I’ll share a few of the tips my trainer’s taught me, and see if my husband catches the photography bug! But for now, I’ll continue to appreciate the artistic photos my trainer takes—after all, they capture the best versions of me.
