CBS slammed for showing too much Taylor Swift during Super Bowl LVIII

We all knew going into Super Bowl LVIII that all eyes were going to spend at least half the time on the field and the other half on the stands watching Taylor Swift.

While Swifties can’t get enough of the “Love Story” singer, for the most part NFL fans have

Post-Super Bowl it’s difficult to remember who even won – the Kansas City Chiefs – because the majority of the coverage has been about Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Now, some people are taking aim at CBS for the amount of airtime Swift received during the big game. Keep reading to see what they had to say and how much time the Grammy award winner was actually shown.

Leading up to the Super Bowl it seemed like most of the talk was whether or not Swift would be able to make the long haul flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas in time to see Kelce play.

Thankfully, for all involved, she made it.

However, during the game some took issue not only with her actions caught on the jumbotron, but also the number of times she was shown on TV.

Radio host Chris Russo slammed CBS for showing Swift’s suite “9,000 times.”

“I’ve seen it again on the field; I think there’s a future there, but they went to her way, way too many times. I didn’t count the amount of shots to that suite — it had to be 10 or 12 in the course of the game,” he said.

Even though Russo claimed the amount of airtime Swift received was “way over the top,” it’s been calculated that she was only on television for 54 seconds or less than 1 percent of the Super Bowl.

“It’s way over the top…It’s not so much the length; it’s just going to [her suite],” Russo said.

“All they have to do is go there for a second. And if you only go there for 38 seconds, that means you can still go there 25 times — each time is a second and a half. ‘Hey, there she is! Oh, there she is! Kelce caught a ball; there she is. Chiefs are driving; there she is. Got her fingers crossed; there she is! I mean, it was just way too much.”

Have you had enough of Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl or do you think the amount of coverage has been fine?
