When Emma’s husband, Tom, invites his cousin Jake to stay with them, Emma tries to be welcoming despite her initial reservations. However, her discomfort grows as Jake starts behaving oddly. He wanders around the house at night, peers into rooms he shouldn’t be in, and asks invasive questions about Emma’s past. One evening, Emma finds Jake in her study, rifling through her personal papers. Confronted, Jake brushes it off as curiosity. Emma decides to do some digging and discovers Jake has a history of mental instability and criminal behavior. With Tom reluctant to believe her, Emma must find a way to protect herself and her home.
