A Dinner with Hidden Intentions

My daughter’s professor has invited me to dinner, claiming he needs to discuss something about my daughter. But I can’t shake the feeling that it’s not entirely about her. I’ve noticed the way he looks at me, with a certain appreciation and interest, aware that I am a single mom.

The first time he suggested dinner, I was puzzled. Was this really about my daughter’s progress, or was there something more he wanted to explore? His compliments, the way his eyes linger on me a bit longer than necessary, hint at a different motive.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I agreed to meet him. As I get ready for the evening, my mind races with possibilities. This dinner might reveal more than just academic concerns; it could open the door to a new chapter in my life, filled with intrigue and potential romance.
